China | Harbin Ice Festival

The Harbin Ice Festival is an annual winter festival that takes place in Harbin, a city in northeastern China. The festival features large ice sculptures, ice lanterns, and ice buildings that are lit up at night. These structures can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet) in height and are made from ice blocks taken from the nearby Songhua River. The festival also includes ice and snow slides, ice lantern mazes, and ice-sculpture competitions. In addition, there are also ice-sculpture exhibitions, ice lantern exhibitions, and ice-sculpture gardens. It is considered one of the largest ice and snow festivals in the world and typically runs from the end of December through the end of February. The festival attracts visitors from all over the world who come to see the stunning ice sculptures and enjoy the winter activities on offer.
