Munich, Germany hosts the annual Oktoberfest from the last weekend in September through the first weekend in October. It lasts between 16 and 18 days. One of the largest beer festivals in the world attracts millions of visitors from all over the globe. During the festival, a sizable number of beer tents and fairground attractions are erected in a prominent location where visitors may drink local beers, eat traditional German food, engage in a variety of activities, and listen to live music. The Oktoberfest is seen as a celebration of Bavarian culture and is a key occasion in the history and heritage of Munich.
