Riot Fest Music Festival
Days at the music festival can feel like a marathon. Especially when you have three days of great bands packed back to back. In the case of Riot Fest, when you’re not partying on stage listening to your favorite artists, you still have a carnival to bounce around in. Plus, you’re going to have the possible barriers to navigating the festival grounds, the possibility of wild weather in Chicago.

We recommend avoiding driving and using public transit in Chicago. vBus, rail, Metra are the best ways to get to the festival and back every day . If you like, you can even ride a bike! The headache of navigating the area, sitting in traffic, and the hassle and cost of parking will save you time and money. The night before, be sure to map out your route.
At the music festival:
As for the music, check out the schedule of the Riot Fest and the stages where each band performs, so you can prepare which artists you want to see in advance. Get a festival map and work out things by adding your schedule to your smartphone reminder alarm. You don’t want to experience the devastation that comes with missing your favorite band performing. Make sure you have time to check out the carnival rides at the Riot Fest, local stalls, great food, non-profits, and maybe a few signings for bands.
