Primavera Sound’s music festival
Primavera Sound is a multi-genre Spanish music festival is held on the sunny shores of Barcelona at the Parc del Fòrum in the city every summer.
Primavera Sound will mark its late 20th anniversary in June 2021, once again inviting a roster of the most innovative and influential musicians from across the spectrum of genres, from alternative indie to underground techno. One look at the lineup and you can understand why the festival sits high up on the bucket list of any music fan.
Headlining Primavera Sound music festival:
Headlining Primavera Sound 2021 will be Gorillaz, The Strokes and Tame Impala, while its sprawling lineup will include the likes of FKA Twigs, Tyler, the Creator, Jorja Smith, Disclosure, Iggy Pop and more.
And all this plays out over Primavera Sound’s 16 stages at its now iconic home just north of Barcelona’s centre, beside a backdrop of the lush Mediterranean Sea.
Food & Drink:
At the music festival, there’s nice cheap food, so make sure to take advantage of it! You are in Barcelona after all. Expect a food truck area, where you can find a lot of hidden food gems. Including a squid baguette that will leave an ever lasting impression on you. This year they are adding the Primmmavera event, which is a food festival inside the music festival.
if you miss the last train at Midnight (or 2am if it’s Friday/Saturday), and you need it to get back to your accommodation, you may as well stay until the trains start again at 5am. Fortunately, at that point the music will still be playing, so there’ll be plenty of great ways to pass the time. In any event, make a plan to get home every night as it is not easy to get a taxi or uber.
